The 2012 Manila Electronic Dance Music Conference is a three-day and night event that caters to electronic dance music enthusiasts to push-forward a more cultivated community of Filipino artists through music production and DJing. This is the first of its kind in the Philippines and the only DJ and Dance Music Production conference that exist.
Our goal is to teach the proper techniques of electronic dance music production using different audio workstation softwares such as Apple’s Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Propellerhead’s Reason, and Presonus’ Studio One. Although software mastery is a necessity in music production, our lectures are more focused on the process of creating dance music.
With our music production clinics and workshops, we aim to teach the necessary skills for producers to be able to come up with professional-sounding tracks. On the other hand, our DJing clinics will allow enthusiasts and the like to develop the skills and confidence required in performing live.
On the production side, our goal is to teach how to create music that can be made into a club dance floor hit, while learning the ability to play these songs in front of a crowd through the art of DJing. It is a well-known concept in the dance music production business that musical success can be achieved by knowing how to create professional-sounding music, while having good DJing skills. Getting recognized for musical work is the ultimate goal of both established DJ, producers and budding artists alike.
