Take a look at the Cadogan Cafe to be opened in the summer outside the Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea, London. UK studio NEX took over the rights to build after winning a competition for the cafe design. The Cadogan Cafe will be built in the Duke of York Square beside the gallery’s brick perimeter wall which served as a nineteenth century army barracks. NEX plans to create a spiralling pavilion with a rooftop garden with an inspiration coming from the old army camp. Walls will be cut to form multi-columns and will be covered by retractable glass while a spiral staircase will lead the customers to the rooftop garden.
