Le Messie and Amanda S. return with a much-anticipated S/S 2013 release, ‘FALSE BEARS by FALSE BRAND Vol.1’ which pays homage to the Punk Culture, while staying true to Le Messie’s views on brand re-appropriation. The four bears featured in this collection embody musicians and original punk role models: Kurt Cobain (Nirvana), David Bowie, Axl Rose (Guns N’ Roses), and Anthony Kiedis (Red Hot Chili Peppers.) In addition to these four 90’s rebel figures, Le Messie takes his design inspiration from the recognized Polo Bears of Ralph Lauren — a lighter aesthetic that moves away from FALSE Brand’s history of political messages. Le Messie states, “FALSE is moving towards a more artistic direction now. After this, I’ll go into more magical realms with more pop culture icons and make believe themes.”

This collection is available on t-shirts and skate decks and is now available from the Anti-Anti online store.
