The alliance between rap’s most profound lyricist, Lupe Fiasco, and streetwear’s most notorious rebel, Le Messie, has been a bond forged by principles. Both are known for their uncompromising desire to speak their truth and gifted vision to create their art. The Grammy Award winning rapper first met FALSE creators Le Messie and Amanda S. in 2005. The like-mindedness between the creators led to an organic partnership. In 2008, FALSE collaborated with Lupe to launch FALLACY OF ROME (F.O.R.). Le Messie and Lupe have also collaborated musically under the band Japanese Cartoon.

F.O.R’s S/S release is entitled “The Emperor’s New Clothes,” inspired by the popular short tale by Hans Christian Anderson. To illustrate this message, Le Messie re-appropriated classical optical illusions which form the shape of skulls, focusing on the themes of Birth, Death and Love. Also part of the collection are bracelets representing the 3 visionaries behind F.O.R: Lupe, Le Messie, and Amanda S. These bracelets use a select combination of Swarovski gold pearl beads, Swarovski black pearl beads, black lava beads, and gold & silver alloy skulls. All bracelets are handmade by Amanda S.
