In the early days of streetwear, there was an unwritten code. Independence was the religion. The gospels of authenticity, originality, and identity were obeyed. But time has a way of changing the verses when individuals misunderstand the dogma. The rise of fast-growing, trend-hopping brands has catapulted a passionate subculture to greed’s welcoming doors. It’s no secret that the whispers of “Streetwear is Dead” have made its way to the ears to several of the culture’s brand leaders. What happens when you realize that the individuality that you are pushing for no longer exists?

Launching this September, the CULT OF des DEAD GOSPEL series will be handcrafted by FALSE’s Le Messie and Amanda S. “CULT OF des DEAD GOSPEL is an exciting rehash to the underground days of core street-wear. Where brands had core values and didn’t sell-out to a corporate mind-set, exclusive limited items ran true and most didn’t look like mirror images of themselves,” says Le Messie.

The Cult of des Dead Gospel series comes in two editions.

1. The first is a true, “Individually Numbered,” FALSE design that comes in only 10 pieces worldwide.

2. The second edition is for those who missed their chance on receiving one of the 10 pieces. A more standard version of the design will be available for purchase on wearefalse.com

The designs are inspired by the early days of FALSE, and all garments will be painstakingly handmade individually with very strong emphasis on detail and craftsmanship of quality—synonymous with the FALSE Brand. The production process will be documented and previewed along the way on the mailing-list and FALSE social networks. Each month FALSE will preview a Special Edition Limited 10pc Package and open a 48hr pre-order raffle, this is so everyone gets a fair chance to obtain 1 of the 10 pcs. (To be eligible for the Pre-Order Special Edition Release, select your size and check-out with the “Pre-Order” payment selection.) If you win the raffle, you can purchase the limited edition t-shirt.
