In honor of the Miami Heat’s 2nd Championship, TITAN, the first and only basketball specialty concept store in the country, alongside Manila-based streetwear clothing brand, PROGRESS® collaborate to give rise to the ‘Jesus’ capsule collection. Inspired by Ray Allen’s character ‘Jesus Shuttlesworth’ in the 1998 film ‘He Got Game’, the collection is stamped with the phrase “Jesus Saves”, reminiscent of Allen’s game-tying 3 pointer in Game 6 of the 2013 NBA Finals Series against the San Antonio Spurs, channeling the salvific attributes of his fictional character’s name. The collection consists of a basketball jersey, pullover hoodie, tee and socks patterned with a marriage of messianic renaissance images that translates basketball as ‘poetry in motion’ into design. In line with the first Miami Heat home game of the new season and accompanying ring ceremony, the Titan X Progress ‘Jesus’ capsule collection will release on October 30, 2013, 6PM at the Titan Flagship Store, Titan TwoParkade, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
