The Department of Marketing Management and San Beda Junior Marketing Association will organize its annual General Membership Meeting entitled, Mobilandia on September 06, 2014 at the SBC Football Field, Mendiola, Manila.

General Membership Meeting (formerly known as General Assembly) is an annual gathering of the Department of Marketing Management students, faculty, alumni, and partners. In this event, participants are equipped with new knowledge and learning on a contemporary Marketing topic.

The San Beda Junior Marketing Association is the duly recognized marketing professional student organization of San Beda College -­‐ Manila. It aims to aid students achieve the entrepreneurial edge by producing and joining a wide variety of events and competitions that help mold them into quality business practitioners and leaders for the future. The organization is affiliated with the Philippine Junior Marketing Association, Philippine Marketing Association, Association of Marketing Educators, and Junior Achievement of the Philippines Inc.

This year, SBJMA kicked off the second season of Trend. With a tagline, Strike Fast, Buzz Loud, Create the Trend; it is the official web show, commonly called as webisodes, of the organization where we recap all the events that happened during the Academic Year. The webisodes are hosted by our campus VJs and are viewable on SBJMA’s official YouTube channel, San Beda Junior MA. To date, four episodes have been released covering the traditional and organizational events -­‐-­‐ Freshmen Orientation Day (FOD), College Organization Recruitment Week (COR Week), Basic Alternative Skills Enhancement (BASE) seminar, and Integration Week. With that, we will also have a special webisode for Mobilandia, where we will feature the happenings and partners of the event.

Featured  lecturers  are  marketing  experts  and  industry  leaders.  This  year,  Mobile Marketing will be the main topic of discussion. One of the invited speakers is Mr. Gian Javelona. He is the co founder  and Chief Visionary officer of  OrangeApps Inc. also known as the Pinoy Steve Jobs who founded the first school mobile portal application during his junior year at Polytechnic University of the Philippines.

Following the seminar are fun-­‐filled games and thrilling surprises prepared by SBJMA officers and sponsors. A land zorb and trampolines will also be available in the area. In addition, booths and kiosks from our partners and sponsors will be located inside the field. Every year, the organization inaugurates its annual theme. With a slogan, Defying the Gravity of Conventionality, the organization will launch SBJMA UNIVERSAL – Unity, Versatility, and Saliency together with all the events and activities they should look forward to for the entire year.

The night will not be over after the dinner because DJ Ace Ramos will be turning the night even louder. Ace Ramos has emerged as one of the most renowned DJs in the Philippines. He sets himself apart from the rest by creating his own style. He does mash ups and mixes hip-­‐hop, rnb, elektro rock, chart-­‐topping hits, and upcoming tracks. He is also a resident DJ at Republiq Club.
