Founded in 2012 by Jackson Aw, a creative who loves collecting artworks from his favorite artists, Mighty Jaxx is a creative collective based in Singapore. Upon realizing that most 2D artists are not able to create 3D art, Jackson made it his mission to turn extraordinary ideas into reality. Working mainly on sculptures, Mighty Jaxx collaborates with internationally renowned artists to produce Limited Edition figures. With a strong focus on urban art, Mighty Jaxx has also collaborated with lifestyle brands such as Threadless and New Balance, creating unique designs for them. As of 2015, Mighty Jaxx has produced over 100 figures and has delivered products to over 50 countries.
This time around, shredders from surf to skate can look forward to their new collaboration with famed skate/surf illustrator Jimbo Phillips, the “Easyrider”. Limited to 200 sets to be released worldwide, the Easyrider is a hand-painted polystone must-have to complete your art collectibles.
Jimbo is an artist from Santa Cruz, California, who was raised on eye-popping graphics. His father, Jim Phillips, designed all the artwork for Santa Cruz Skateboards in the 70’s and 80’s and was the creator of the iconic “Screaming Hand” logo. At the age of 18, Jimbo began working for his father doing graphics for the skateboard industry (Santa Cruz Skateboards), creating tripped out graphics for t-shirt designs, decals, magazine ads, and skateboards.
