On June 21, DC comes out with an exciting event that would greatly appeal not just to skateboarding enthusiasts but also to those who are looking for a fun and challenging sport to try this year.

DC is proud to present the Global Skate Jam 2015 here in the Philippines as part of its celebration of the annual Go Skateboarding Day (GSD). GSD is an annual holiday conceived by the International Association of Skateboard Companies (IASC) in 2004 to promote the sport of skateboarding – annually held on June 21 worldwide.

DC has grown to become an industry leader in performance skateboarding shoes and has found it to be a worthwhile event to celebrate especially with the Philippines’ growing skateboarding scene.

The DC Global Skate Jam 2015 will be held at Backyard Skatepark in Sta. Rosa, Laguna and will have various skate competitions for Push Race, Bowl Jam, Best Grind, Game of Skate, Best Run, Highest Ollie and Longest Gap.

Aside from the day-long roster of activities, DC will also set up a mini music fest for everyone to enjoy during the event, featuring the bands Jejaview, Faintlight and Indio-i.

The event will definitely serve as a happy celebration of the GSD in the Philippines, wherein DC hopes to give the local skateboarding community an opportunity to meet, mingle and skate together, further promoting the skateboarding scene in the country.

This event is made possible by the generous support of GRIND and media partners: Gist.ph, CLAVEL, Blunt magazine, My Life On Board, WhenInManila.com, PURVEYR and Rappler.
