THRIVE is an event series and festival celebrating creativity, entrepreneurship, and design that’s helping the planet by championing sustainability and social good. It will be a week of learning, networking, and mindful living through talks, workshops, and mixers all around the metro, led by field experts, creatives and advocates.
This first run of THRIVE is a collaboration by Muni PH, Serious Studio, A Space, VivaManila, Bambike, Risque Designs, Ashoka Philippines, co.lab, Tweetup Manila, Amplify.ph, Rags2Riches, National Bicycle Organization and more!
THRIVE kicks off on October 17 at A Space, Makati City, where a #thrivemanila campaign and exhibit will shine the spotlight on some of Manila’s finest creatives and their take on what we can do to contribute to a thriving city, country, or planet. Check out submissions by Arlene Sy-Silva, Dan Matutina, Deane Miguel, Ella Lama, Geli Balcruz, Manix Abrera, Nice Buenaventura, Rob Cham, Tof Zapanta and Tokwa Peñaflorida, to name a few.
In THRIVE events all throughout the week, we’ll explore how we can draw on a variety of industries to creatively address our world’s social and environmental needs.
Satellite events from October 18 to 23 include a cultural bike tour of Manila hosted by VivaManila and Bambike, an introduction to Risque Designs’ artisan shoe-making processes featuring local materials and handicraft traditions, and a workshop by Ashoka Philippines where social innovators and changemakers can trade best practices and learn how to create platforms for collaboration and growth.
Capping off the week is the action-packed THRIVE Festival & MUNI Market on October 24 and 25 at Capitol Commons, Pasig City. Gathering THRIVE partners and collaborators who harness creativity and entrepreneurship for good, this two-day festival will feature talks, workshops, live performances, and a mindful marketplace, all of which will empower festival-goers to live healthier, more socially and environmentally conscious lives.
Now on its 4th run, the MUNI Market brings together entrepreneurs, makers, and organizations offering mindfully created goods and services. More than just a place to grab a week’s supply of fresh, organic produce, the MUNI Market educates the public on conscious consumption and increases their options for eco-friendly and sustainable products and practices.

Complementing the MUNI Market’s mission to encourage responsible consumption is a lineup of THRIVE talks by our partners and collaborators. These thought-provoking sessions will cover topics such as healthy and sustainable eating, ideas and innovation to address climate change, and conscientious sourcing and production for brands and entrepreneurs.
Those who want something more interactive can sign up for THRIVE workshops designed to help participants grow in mindful living. Go biking, learn indoor planting, vegan cooking, connect with your body, mind, and breath in some hatha yoga asanas.
Amplify.ph will treat festival-goers to live performances by Anj Florendo Music, A Problem Like Maria, BennyBunnyBand, Fools and Foes, Hans Garcia Dimayuga, LM Cancio, Maya’s Anklet, Paola Mauricio, We Are Imaginary, and more.
