UNIQLO has released its latest line up of T-shirts featuring 25 winning designs from the Nintendo-themed UNIQLO T-shirt (UT) Grand Prix 2017 design contest. 

This year’s design contest invited artists from around the world to create original T-shirt designs inspired by Nintendo’s timeless characters including those from Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, and the Donkey Kong series. Other entries featured Animal Crossing, Star Fox, Pikmin, Metroid, Kirby, Splatoon, and Pokémon.

UNIQLO introduced the the UT Grand Prix design contest in 2005 as a way to foster creativity and talent around the world. Opened to everyone, the UT Grand Prix 2017 attracted a record number of 1,600 entries.

This year’s winning design featured a Mario motif. In second and third place were designs inspired by Splatoon and Zelda themes.
