Collaborations have little to no cons as opposed to the plethora of pros. Whether it be your favorite musicians coming out with a banger or your favorite designers practically robbing your wallet by coming out with the most neck-snapping clothes, collaborations are always welcome in the creative industry as it allows for promotion of teamwork, creative self-growth and professionalism. Sperry collaborating with Jack Spade is nothing less of a display of all that.

Sperry has been around since 1935 and would be considered seasoned by human and brand standards. While Jack Spade only turns 22 by 2018. One could say this collaboration is between an industry veteran of 82 years and a 21-year old young blood.

It’s perfect.

Their collaboration resulted in two Sperry exclusives. A mix up of the classic Sperry CVO by adding that Jack Spade aesthetic spice to it. The CVO got, “the Jack Spade treatment,” by slapping over bold colors over the Sperry’s slip-on’s in true Jack Spade New York style. The new collection perfectly blends Sperry’s form and function with Jack Spade’s creative color palette.

The canvas laceless design allows for more space to work with on the side of Jack Spade’s hue play. Colors on a canvas. Just like a painting. And in this case, two very good painters.

Purpose-build design has always been the driving force of the Sperry brand. Sailor Paul Sperry founded the company on the pillars of functionality with style. And the collaboration collection with the lifestyle brand Jack Spade New York cannot be any more perfect.

The Jack Spade Cloud Nautical Color Block Canvas Sneakers come in natural/navy and natural/red. Both are out at PHP 3, 995. Available exclusively on www.sperry.com.ph.
