It’s going to be a weekend of more and more murals at this year’s Meeting of Styles (@mos_philippines), on April 27-28, at the Parking Grounds Anonas LRT City Center 968 Aurora Boulevard Corner Anonas Avenue, Quezon City.

Every year Meeting of Styles brings together local and foreign street artists to bring walls to life; different people with different perspectives and different styles coming together for one goal. This year, it’ll be no different.

Out of the many amazing artists joining the fray, here are a few that we’re excited to see:

Aral Cru (@aral_cru)

This crew is made up of a trio of contemporary and urban artists from right here in the Philippines. With surreal and striking colors, Aral Cru paints deliberate caricatures that feature various characters either of note or not, each figure telling its own story.

BYWK (@bayawak_777)

Another local artist, this time hailing from Cavite, BAYAWAK tells stories through the depiction of animals, adapting his own unique style in expressing his fascination. Wide-eyed and thoughtful, most of his animals (and pets) are somberly cute, a definite favorite amongst pet-loving art fans.

Chase (@chasephl)

It’s all about the wordplay (typeplay?) for local artist Chase, whose slick tags have been spotted all over the metro and in various international spots as well. You can even spot his work on the walls of various establishments around the city–from galleries to co-working spaces and other areas of community.

NASCA (@armin_nasca)

Hailing all the way from Germany, we’re excited to see artist Armin Nasca’s highly-detailed and realistic portraiture depicting faces and figures that come alive in the lines that he draws and the colors he uses to fill them in.

DMERC (@d.m.r.c.)

Australian artist DMERC is also on our must-sees, his art highly inspired and revolving around the hip-hop and sneaker culture–caricatures edged out and dripping in cool, sneaker art with a slight preference for Air Maxes, and his distinct writing style that distinguishes the urban spaces from the mundane.
