The hip hop/design oriented collective’s latest music video release takes you on a completely different journey. Bawal Clan’s latest drop has the artists front and center this time around. If you ask Bawal Clan what their favorite track from their debut album Paid In Bawal is, more than likely you’ll get the answer, “Fear”.

When director Josh Cesario was planning the concept for “Fear”, he had a checklist ready of what he didn’t want included in a typical “traditional hip-hop music video”. He wanted to stay away from shots and ideas that he felt were over-saturated and over-used. The idea was to make a music video feel more like a movie or a short film. He wanted the audience to experience a hip-hop music video through a different lens; to manifest the emotion and embodiment of fear. Josh took a cinematic approach with the direction and wanted to capture a dark and gritty ambiance that is very much a part of the story-telling.

“Fear” is available exclusively on Spotify and Youtube under Vevo.
