Fresh from the success of his rendition of the Michael Jackson classic ‘Rock With You,’ singer-songwriter Paolo Sandejas brings back the retro feels with his new original ‘Sway.’
The groovy track is a product of Sandejas’ inspiration from Rock With You, as well as an imagined situation involving him and an ex-flame. “It’s about that moment when you’re at a party and you see your ex,” said Paolo about the track. “And you both decide to pretend things were like they were before, even just for the night.”
The production on the track serves as an experiment for the young artist, taking inspiration from old-school pop, as well as newer but still funky tracks from bands such as PREP. While it definitely provides a good dance vibe, Sandejas’ signature songwriting and youthful take on life and love still remain.
As the summer starts to swing in, Sway will have listeners swinging and dancing in no time.
