adidas Originals teamed up with the purpose-driven brand and emerging media platform, Girls Are Awesome, for a versatile top-to-toe capsule collection that champions the importance of creators. What makes this collection extra special, especially to the Philippines, is the limited NanoTEQ by Quiccs toys that will be released along with the Girls Are Awesome Superstar colorways. Fruit of the adidas Philippines and Quiccs partnership inked earlier this year, the renowned toy designer— known for his signature toy TEQ63— created a NanoTEQ toy with its design inspired by the Girls Are Awesome collection.

“This one is special because the first two NanoTEQs we released earlier this year only featured one and two stripes respectively. Proud to say that for the first time, my signature vinyl toy will have Three Stripes and officially carry the adidas Originals logo. Truly, we continue to earn our stripes,” said Quiccs.

With only a limited quantity, which will not be sold separately, customers can get their hands on the adidas-exclusive NanoTEQ by Quiccs through an online ballot at bit.ly/GAAxQUICCS from July 15, 12:00 PM-3:00 PM. Winners will be selected via a computer-generated randomizer and will get one chance to purchase any of the Girls Are Awesome Superstar colorways with a free NanoTEQ by Quiccs toy.

Releasing in the Philippines on July 15, the Girls Are Awesome collection includes an apparel capsule that features a co-branded unisex t-shirt, sweatshirt, and coach jacket, with a women’s tracksuit and overalls in faded pink, navy, and iridescent colorways; while the footwear capsule features four unique makeups of the iconic Superstar silhouette.

Customers can choose from the variety of colorways from the Girls Are Awesome Superstar collection, which will retail from PHP3,000 to PHP5,800: The Superstar Up “Girls Are Awesome” features a split icey pink and light grey colored upper, an exaggerated sole, an iridescent heel patch, and two pairs of matching laces. Next, the Superstar C, and Superstar J are all offered from kids to adult sizing and feature a classic white leather upper with coral accents, matching laces, and asymmetric tech-purple and white three-stripes branding.

“We’re thrilled to be working with a talented artist like Quiccs whose work is a testament to the kind of creativity that is the foundation of everything we do at adidas,” said Jen Dacasin, adidas Philippines Brand Communications and Sports Marketing Manager.

Its partnership with Quiccs—announced in February this year— is a first for adidas Philippines. Aside from the limited-edition adidas-exclusive NanoTEQ toys, Quiccs is also set to design Philippine-exclusive adidas products as part of this long-term partnership.

“Although the current health situation has affected our timelines, we are still very much looking forward to more collaborations with Quiccs, which will be exclusive to adidas Philippines,” Dacasin added.
