It’s wild to wrap our head around the fact that over a decade has passed since Wanderland became a staple in our March calendar. It didn’t skyrocket to success overnight, but their consistent delivery of exciting activities at the festival only elevated the experience over time. And now, we’re pumped to raise a toast to KARPOS for pulling it off.
We here at CLAVEL are amped AF for this year’s 10th anniversary edition of Wanderland, and we’d like to share some things we’re looking forward to experiencing:
A Melting Pot of International Acts
Back are some favorites that have wowed us in the past, with Daniel Caesar and HONNE headlining their respective event days to give us a rewind on some simpler times when they first hit their strides as artists.
Other notable acts from across the globe are Plain White T’s who are known to have released iconic tunes such as ‘Hey There Delilah’, and Wanderland alumnus The Paper Kites who have wowed us back then with their amazing performances in 2014’s edition.
Chet Faker supposedly was set to make an appearance in the 2020 edition of the festival, but wasn’t able to do so with the whole world shutting down. This time around, he’s armed to make-up for lost time by giving us a soulful performance worth remembering.
Local Music Served on the Big Stage
A good amount of local artists will also be prominent on Wanderland’s stage, from heavy hitters such as Mayonnaise and Urbandub who are no strangers to being in front of huge crowds, to steadily rising groups like ALYSON and Nameless Kids that’ll provide their personal musical touch to spice up the audience’s audibles.
A Stimulating Multisensual Experience
To go along with a stacked lineup of musicians, several visual artists would leave their marks on the festival grounds with installations by One Zero and Distort Monsters, and live art demonstrations by handpicked visual maestros Yok Joaquin, Jethro Olba, Jill Arteche, and Ross Du.
With merchants and food stalls yet to be announced, this year’s Wanderland is shaping up to be an encapsulation of more than 10 years of passion and dedication in bringing the world’s music on Filipino soil for fellow Filipinos to enjoy on their home base. Get your tickets now!
Big congrats are in order once again to KARPOS for making it to this huge milestone.
