The secret sauce to a great project can boil down to the chemistry of its production crew. The dream team of Jana, Vant, Dana, Kiwi, and VINCII all came together with the goal of further expanding their creative palates by cooking up a space where not only fellow creatives can make their respective visions come true, but also flourish.

In this CLAVEL feature, we got a taste of what it’s like at GOTSAUCE Studios.

GOTSAUCE is actually a production house started by director VINCII in 2019 back when he was just in college. Shortly after, photographer and assistant director Kiwi eventually tagged along after doing some shoots for brands and music videos, then the rest was history. Add in Jana and Vant who are dabbling in the worlds of fashion and music respectively, and behind the scenes all-arounder Dana; you’ll have yourself a chopsuey of creative minds ready to make any project work.

“Once you put the best creatives to execute the idea, merong magic eh. Yun yung extra sauce na sinasabi.”

All they need is the space. That’s how GOTSAUCE Studios came to be as they opened their doors just March of this year.

Located at Dream Tower in Quezon City, it’s literally a blank canvas of possibilities that you can play around. People who work in production and advertising know how it’s a boon to have some much needed flexibility when it comes to shoots and campaigns.

It’s a two-floor studio built for a hybrid type of shoot with multiple stations. That way, you can operate simultaneously in terms of shooting a certain layout in one place while preparing for the next layout in another. In our experience, we set up a backdrop on the first floor while utilizing the second floor as the holding room plus styling station for our artists as they got ready.

Another thing we’ve appreciated was the studio’s glass panels which allow natural light into certain shoots. This maximizes the possibilities of using different sources of light for shoots in the venue, like overhead lighting comes to mind as well by utilizing their high ceiling – a deliberate choice backed up by years of prod experience from the team.

Even the vicinity to a nearby convenience store and parking availability were considered when they were looking up a suitable space – mundane things on paper that are a huge deal for seasoned creatives that are ready to pre-prod the shit out of a shoot to make it smooth.

It’s anything you can imagine.”

The most complicated of concepts can be made from scratch, which even extends more than branded projects and campaigns. Social functions, listening parties, collection drops – you name it: GOTSAUCE has the spice to make it happen.

A couple of examples are some events that were courtesy of the GOTSAUCE peeps themselves. One of which was their Fly Market flea market which was a quickstrike weekend pop-up for clothing pieces from people in the creative sphere. Another was their Divine detox and wellness event, which utilized one segment for the main

The sauce to top it all off would be the different package packets of how you can work with them.

“Gusto namin mag inspire ng new generation of creatives. Inspire to have a great attitude and have that passion to do great things.”

First is you can just rent the space and do whatever you want. Second is you rent out the space and have the actual GOTSAUCE team work on your campaign, letting the dream team make that dream come true. And lastly, they can just be the cherry on top by polishing your respective ideas and rolling out the final campaign.

Whichever you pick, it’s a shoe in that the GOTSAUCE team has the energy and expertise for any project that comes their way. Already established names in their own right – this is them using what they’ve learned and experienced as a way to help out the creative scene as a whole. A rising tide lifts all boats per se.

And these next few months are an exciting time for what people can do with this new space to create their own concoctions that’ll stand out.

GOTSAUCE Studios is open from Mondays to Sundays, with reservations coursed through their Instagram or via their phone number 0915 441 1020.
