With a solid community of local sneaker enthusiasts, the demand for exclusive product is at its peak. While the GR (General Release) sneakers can be found in common footwear boutiques and retailers, it’s the limited edition sneakers that are tougher to cop. Due to the limited access to prized footwear products, Commonwealth has built a reputation as the go-to store for exclusive products.

Specialty brands such as Nike Lab, adidas Consortium, and Vault by Vans can only be found locally at Commonwealth. These are top tier items that are produced in very limited quantities and sold to only a handful of stores worldwide. The essence of these specialty brands are their products are either new exclusive models, or classic ones that are modified for collaborations or luxury.

For example, a normal white-on-white Nike Air Force 1 would definitely look different from a Nike Lab Air Force 1. While the original sports the traditional synthetic leather, the latter might go for the more premium tumbled leather option. The difference between the two is meant to express the intersection of sport, design, and culture.

Since the store opened in 2015, Commonwealth has been bringing products that have never really made its way to the Philippines before; at least, not for mass consumption anyway. For those who wish to cop some limited edition products, they now have three stores: Power Plant Mall, Greenbelt 5, and SM Aura.

We stopped by the flagship store in Power Plant Mall to check out the available products from Nike Lab, adidas Consortium, and Vault by Vans:
