They say that without passion, life is meaningless.
This is why despite the many roles he plays, Dash Calzado keeps passion at the forefront of his life. A DJ, emcee, artist and producer by profession, he is one man who lives and breathes hip-hop. He is one of the fortunate few who can say that they have joined their passion and profession beautifully, and that everyday doesn’t feel like work.
Dash exudes a sincerity in the way he talks about hip-hop and his lifestyle with the amazing ability to recite names of at least fifty artists off the top of his head. All these people have played a major role in who he is as a person and as an artist today. He has a genuine belief in the local hip-hop scene and in the artists who have the potential to make it. And the best part is that he, in turn, influences the new generation of hip-hop artists seeking to realize a dream.
Dash wears many hats—that of an artist, host, producer, friend, father, and husband. He has achieved so much in a career spanning two decades. But he proves that no matter which hat he chooses to wear, he will give his very best and let his passion speak for itself.
