In the midst of October, adding a bit of reggae pop to your playlist might just be what you need to keep the summer vibes alive throughout these chilly and lowkey lonely ber months. We’re hitting pause for a brief second on all of the spooky activities and early onslaught of Christmas shenanigans, because Insignia Presents is bringing us news about a 6 piece reggae-infused group from Oahu.

From the tropical island shores of Hawaii, Kolohe Kai has undeniably made its dent in the music industry over the past couple of years. Having been one of the island’s #1 most streamed reggae artist over the past decade and with over 40 million streams in 2020 alone, this reggae pop sensation is making headlines as they kick start their tour, extending their shows to cities they’ve never been to before. And after a decade or so of waiting, Manila is finally one of them.

Releasing their debut album This Is The Life back in 2009, Kolohe Kai has since then gained popularity and has expanded pop influence as the group collaborates with Grammy Award winning producer, Brian Kierulf on singles like Catching Lightning and Heartstrings. Come 2013, Kolohe Kai bags Reggae Album of the Year with their hit album Paradise.

Roman De Peralta expresses excitement on his instagram as he announces their first ever concert here in Manila on February 1st, 2025 at the Samsung Hall in Taguig. The artist then later on serenades his Filipino fans with the crowd’s favorite, Ehu Girl, giving fans a lil sneak peek into what’s coming. Alongside all these exciting news, Kolohe Kai has also announced the release of their fifth full length album in celebration of their 10 year anniversary.

So, if you’re down for an early kick start to summer in February and vibe along to some sweet summer tunes, head over to Insignia’s official website.
