In the past couple of years, there’s been a crazy resurgence of the milk tea craze that first hit Manila around the early 2010s. But more and more people are now opting for healthier options to go with their healthier lifestyles (after seeing how much sugar a serving of their favorite milk and fruit teas actually contain).

But I was surprised to find that when Flamingo Bloom, the popular Hong Kong tea salon, opened in Manila, they showed us exactly how much sugar they put in the drink I ordered:

none.

During their grand opening last June 12, they allowed us to go behind the counter to mix our own orders and mine consisted of only three ingredients: Jasmine Green Tea, a variety of citrus fruits, and ice.

So not only was it refreshing and flavorful, but I was still able to say that I kept my sugar-intake real low that day.

Aside from fruit teas, Flamingo Bloom has their own selection of milk teas for you to try, made from the best quality tea leaves which they source from some of the highest peaks in China, free from any chemicals and industrial toxins.

Customers can also buy their own Flamingo Bloom merchandise designed and made specifically for Flamingo Bloom fans and friends.

Visit Flamingo Bloom at the 4th floor of The Block – SM North EDSA.
