There’s something electric about experiencing songs of artists come to life on stage. Quiet moments bloom into grooves that move, where every beat and melody feels intentional and immersive. That’s exactly what Men I Trust brings to their Equus Tour: a sound that’s intimate yet expansive, drawing listeners into their world from the very first note.
The Canadian indie pop trio of Emma Proulx (guitar, vocals), Jessy Caron (guitar, bass), and Dragos Chiriac (keyboards) have quietly perfected a sound that floats somewhere between hazy guitars, hypnotic grooves, and intimate lyrics. Filipino fans first caught them at the Wanderland Festival 2023, where their breezy, feel-good set left a mark. Songs like Show Me How, Numb, and Lauren have since become little mood anchors for anyone who loves understated, emotionally resonant pop.
The band is currently on the road for their Equus Tour, following the release of their twin albums, Equus Asinus and Equus Caballus, in 2025. Each album explores a different shade of their sound: Equus Asinus leans into a simpler, folk-tinged side of the band, with I Come With Mud setting the tone as a gentle, introspective track. Equus Caballus, on the other hand, drifts back into the hypnotic grooves and dreamy pop melodies that define Men I Trust, with songs like Carried Away offering the signature hazy, immersive sound fans have come to love.
Men I Trust will make their Manila stop on February 1, 2026, at The Filinvest Tent, Alabang. This marks their first-ever solo headlining show in the country, thanks to our friends at Karpos Live. Tickets are available via ticketlo.com, so don’t miss your chance to experience a night immersed in their dreamy, hypnotic sound live.
