The store was a testament to the banner’s emphasis on sneaker culture, streetwear and athleisure. Hypnotizing LED lit wall panels were populated with iconic sneaker silhouettes such as the Stan Smiths, Superstars and Gazelles of Adidas, Air Max 90 essentials from Nike, Gel Lyte 3’s and 5’s from Asics Tiger, and Blaze of Glories from Puma, all of which can send any sneaker fanatic into a frenzy. Also available in the store are popular sneaker cleaners like Crep Protect and Reshoeven8r, the former even providing free shoe cleaning to visitors that day.
Not only is The Athlete’s Foot a choice retailer, but also a trendsetter in its own right as demonstrated in its private label that ranges from shirts, hoodies and jogger pants that will surely fit in any 20+ year-old’s wardrobe. Moreover, the diverse crowd seen at the event included on the guest list were media influencers namely actress and host, Bianca King, Guava Pass General Manager, Nike NTC Trainer and model, Sambie Rodriguez, Team Streetwear Philippines themselves, Nika Higashionna and Maj Veloso, and Stronghold MNL Director, James Muleta. Guests from the sneaker community and included Joey Puno of Kickspotting and Martin David of Solemovement. Krispy Kreme served out free donuts and coffee that day to all its guests, including customized winged-foot donuts for all the VIPs.
